Office building and interior for Kadaster ITS Apeldoorn - EGM Architecten 2007

An office building and interior that reflects the organisational structure and corporate identity of the client; “the building should encourage - almost provoke - interaction and it should showcase the forward looking future of the IT department of this traditional Dutch institution”

The building has a characteristic split-level structure, so each next floor is only half a floor away - and double height spaces on each level. This structure allows employees to have formal and informal interactions supporting cross-functional and cross departmental ways of working. The finishes and colours enhance the spatial richness of the interior - framing each individual space and tying all spaces together to create a unique working environment.

Residence & studio in a former radar station Rotterdam - EGM Architecten 2005

The renovation and extension of an existing landmark, a unique house; a former radar station beautifully located at the river “de Nieuwe Maas” The owners had already converted the tower and the former workshop into a basic almost Spartan house.. The brief was simple: create a house that blends in with the industrial harbour environment and that supports multiple functions: living, working, creating and displaying art and gardening.
