A premium food experience

  • The Ask

    Reimagine Starbucks’ food experience and create a scalable, cross-market design program that elevates presentation, improves customer engagement and strengthens brand perception.

    The Approach

    Worked with brand, category, VM, Food R&D, sourcing, construction and QA to define needs through design workshops and rapid prototyping.
    Simplified and elevated the design, taking cues from premium retail.
    Co-developed prototypes with an Italian pastry-case manufacturer and tested them in pilot stores to assess customer interaction, operational workflows, VM strategies and compliance across EMEA.

    The Outcome

    Created a modern, low-profile suite of sustainable food display cases that improve visibility and customer/barista interaction.
    Delivered a playbook enabling consistent application across all markets and store types.
    Improved brand perception, standardised the customer journey, achieved cross-region compliance, increased sales by 20% and reduced cost by 20%.
